From Goodspeed 1888 History of Barry CountyHailey, formerly Hill City Post-office, was established with N.L. Hailey, postmaster. The location is ten miles east of Cassville. In March 1887, Mr. Hailey's brother took charge of the office, which has been called Hailey. |
