Volunteer
Volunteers provide invaluable service at the museum guiding tours, answering questions, staffing the gift shop and greeting guests. If you would like to volunteer please contact the museum.
Volunteers play an important part of the Barry County Museum's mission to preserve the history of Southwest Missouri. The museum has many volunteer opportunities for a variety of interests. Volunteering is a great way to get out of the house and meet new people and old friends. We hope you will consider becoming a museum volunteer. A friendly smile and an interest in Barry County history are all the qualifications you need. Opportunities include working at the reception desk, welcoming visitors, and providing information to visitors. Greeters also assist customers with sales in the museum bookstore and help staff members with various projects that can be done while at the reception desk.
